Election night in Seattle was an amazing night, filled with amazing people. I captured some video of people dancing and partying in the streets.

Here's one of the Yellow Hat Band, a roving Dixieland-type band, performing outside the Comet Tavern on Capitol Hill:

Yep, it's a three-post day. Why? Because a) I'm annoyed by work, b) this blog's subhead promised you-all some Morrissey and it's been months with nary a post dedicated to him, and c) This video makes me less annoyed by work (the posturing! the shirtlessness! the blatant narcissism!--in the video, not my workplace). And, it's a really good song.

So, huzzah to the Mozzer for making the world a better place and making me feel a little less like I need to disappear for a while.

Just listen to--don't watch--this video (it's okay up until the very end where the driver/videographer turns the camera on himself, killing the mood of the song):



This video from their live performance at Seattle's Triple Door doesn't do it justice (no cello, no sense of urgency in the vocals like in the album version), but it's interesting to hear/see the live approach:
